Mpumelelo ATC Background Information

Established on 5 December 2013, Mpumelelo Artisan Training Centre has grown into a
reputable institution focused on artisan training excellence.

Our training model integrates theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and workplace
experience, ensuring that learners are fully prepared for trade testing and employment.

We align our programmes with the requirements of the Quality Council for Trades and
Occupations and relevant SETAs to maintain high training standards and compliance.

Our mission is to develop skilled artisans, reduce unemployment, and support economic
growth through quality training interventions.

ACCREDITATION & TRADE TEST CENTRE STATUS

Mpumelelo Artisan Training Centre (Pty) Ltd is fully accredited as an Assessment Centre (AC) and Trade Test Centre (TTC).

We are accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations and the National
Artisan Moderation Body to conduct assessments and trade testing in line with national
standards.

ARPL & Legacy Trade Testing

We facilitate Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) for legacy qualifications,
enabling experienced artisans to obtain formal certification.

TRAINING APPROACH

Our training model follows a 70% practical and 30% theoretical approach, ensuring
learners gain hands-on experience aligned with real workplace conditions.
