Mr. Thabo Ntuli
After completing Matric in the year 1997, Mr. T.M Ntuli who is the founder of Mpumelelo Artisan Training Centre (PTY) LTD went to seek for employment in Secunda. Since nowadays getting a job without a trade is very challenging, he decided to enrol at Evander Technical College for Electrical Engineering. He obtained a certificate in Electrical. Unfortunately, he did not get a job as an Electrician instead he was employed as a Boilermaker Assistant under Fluor Daniel in the year 2002. He was very eager to learn and developed so much aspiration to join the artisan trade.
Considering that he was not earning much he decided to save to achieve his dream of being an artisan. In the 2006, he went to study and finally became a semi skilled Boilermaker. In 2006, he then started to work as a Pipefitter for a company labelled Grinaker Ltd at Sasol Secunda. Between 2006 and 2013 he worked as a Pipe fitter, promoted to be a Foreman and eventually became a Supervisor. In 2016 he obtained a Boilermaker Trade Certificate (Red Seal) from the Quality Council for Trades & Occupation. He also worked outside South Africa in neighbouring countries like Zambia, Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Swaziland for various companies. After taking much consideration about his past and his wish to help people more especially the down trodden, he then decided to open a training centre where he is currently training artisan.
