Mpumelelo ATC Background Information

Mpumelelo Artisan Training Centre (Pty) Ltd is a registered Training Centre (merSETA) which started operating in 2013 in Evander Mpumalanga Province. Since then the training centre have managed to train more than 1000 learners from dis-advantaged communities of which most of the learners managed to get work on the Government projects: Kusile and Medupi Power Stations, as well as SASOL and Mining industries.


  • To be the best Private FET in South Africa which will encourage individuals and communities to recognise the importance of Artisans by helping them to achieve their full potential through skills development.
  • To encourage our learners into taking the route of entrepreneurship after training (self-employed)
  • Maintain a participatory work ethic, rely on the innate excellency of our staff and provide a training culture in which they excel.

Learning time is as follows

Monday-Friday : Morning class

Boilermaker & Pipe fitter and Plumbing:
08h00 -13h00
Welders: 13:h30-19h00
Afternoon class: 17h00 – 19h00

As a practical training centre MATC strongly focus on employable skills training

in the following; boiler making, pipefitting and welding

The company was founded and established by Mr. T.M Ntuli. MATC have employed both women and men, permanently and on temporary basis.
